What we learned

Group Leader
The effectiveness of the communication between our group members is crucial to the outcome of our group work. We cannot attain our aims and avoidable conflicts may emerge if there is poor communication among the members. One of the crucial lessons I gained during our group assignment was the importance of group communication.
I've discovered that even if one disagrees with another member of the group's viewpoints, one still needs to understand and respect them. In terms of one's individual contribution to the group, one can say that they were a leader, a contributor, and an engaged listener.
Gender equality is the topic of our group project, and as we worked through it, I realized how crucial it is to our society. Violence against women and girls is avoided by gender equality. It is necessary for the health of the economy. Women and men are valued equally in societies, which are safer and healthier.
To establish harmony both inside and outside, we need to achieve balance in well-being and holistic aspects. Once a person becomes a well-balanced individual in a holistic environment, a person can contribute more to ecology, economics, cultural and societal aspects to make their family, society or country a better place.

Through this group work, I first experienced the importance of group work. Our group leader is very conscientious and responsible. She will assign each task to us fairly, and all our other group members will complete their respective tasks before the required time. The harmonious group work allowed us to complete the group assignment efficiently.
The topic of our group assignment was gender inequality. In studying this topic, I realized that gender inequality still exists around us. We hope that through this assignment we can make more people aware of gender inequality and hope that it will become less and less around us.

I’ve learned many things throughout the group assignment. It makes me understand that people of all genders should have equal chances, rights, and responsibilities. Gender inequality has an impact on everyone, including men, women, transgender and gender nonconforming individuals, kids, and families.
Moreover, it also makes me understand how difficult it could to be different than others. People don’t look at you the same way as others and etc. However, throughout the group assignment, we also did a researched about it and it is surprisingly that in 65 responses, there are 56.9% respondents go through gender discrimination. It is such a surprise to find out that there are still so many cases of gender discrimination on 2022.
Although, there is no hope for gender equality, but those respondents said that there will be less sex discrimination in the future, not all hopes are gone. In my opinion, I also believe the future will decrease the rate of gender equality because most of the youngsters are more open-minded and educations are slowly improving.

In this group I learnt the skills of how to divide the work among the group members effectively and how to make things more efficient. In addition to this, I also learned more about the topic of gender equality and that there is a third gender as well as male and female. I believe that the world needs to be more tolerant and accepting, and that those who can’t accept please don't make derogatory or disparaging remarks.The good thing is that our team members are all very efficient and do not procrastinate, so our progress is not affected. Last, our leader's ability to take charge and lead the team makes us complete our tasks more efficiently.

Through this project, I feel that gender discrimination is a serious problem among in the country or even the world. Some places in our environment still practises old and traditional thinking that might harm the rights of the particular sex group. This is not a healthy society and something must be done in order to build a new and progressive society. In some philosophy such as the Yin & Yang has showed that the society has a balance power such as male & female, cold & hot. I wish that our project can help the society to increase the awareness on gender equality. Other than that, I’m also sincerely wish that the authority can take serious action in order to raise awareness by different platform such as education, advertisement and legislation process. The NGOs can also help to receive reports from the public and increase the engagement between the public and government. Lets hope a better Malaysia and the planet.

This was my first exposure to philosophy. It made me realise some new knowledge and the beauty of and philosophy. It's just like science but it's more magical than science. It is a logical, theoretical or systematic worldview, it's a natural knowledge or a social knowledge. It is like based on the knowledge of the relationship between thinking and being, spirit and matter. It was strong. Strong enough to change people. Make the people reasonable, sober, self-disciplined, introspective, their own life, theri character, their choices, their own personality and make changes and even start self-improvement. All in all, philosophy is like a very esoteric thing. It can't make the changes of people to the environment but it can make the changes of people, thus changing the environment and the world as people see it.
The usefulness of philosophy is to help a person to adjust, self improve, and vision improve. It is a science that changes the person himself, not the objective environment of the person.

During these few weeks of working with my group, I feel very impressed and proud because every member of the group has shown great contribution and effort in completing this project together. As a group member, the precise commitment shown by each member of my group has facilitated every process in the completion of the project. On other hand, as I'm also handling website designing and developing part, I'm truly learnt and gained lots of technical skills and also knowledges on developing a website. This is really a valuable experience for me. Through this project, I had learnt that many important knowledges throughout the whole project journey especially those knowledges regarding our topic which is gender equality. Undoubtedly, a fair and equal gender perception is the most crucial part for developing a harmony, peace and blessed country.

I am glad that I have learned a lot of very useful knowledge in this group assignment. Firstly, I have learnt more about the knowledge and how people in the world treat the gender inequality. Gender inequality happen in everywhere and every time. So we choose this topic to let people know how bad it is. Secondly, teamwork and communication are very important when doing the group assignment. I have learnt how to communicate with my teammates smoothly. Teamwork is clearly seen in our group while everyone not only does their own tasks which were given by the group leader, we also helped each other when one of us was in trouble doing the tasks and also everyone gave their own ideas when we were in the discussion. My teammates also have taught me a lot when I am stuck in this assignment. I felt appreciated that I can group up with such good teammates.

Through this group assignment, I understand the importance of teamwork, and close communication between group members can greatly improve our efficiency. At the same time, I also learned that gender equality is not just male and female, but also a third category of gender equality in this group assignment. At the same time, we also found that gender discrimination is actually all around us. Through this project, I hope that our world can be more inclusive, so that there will be no gender discrimination in the world, and real gender equality will be achieved.

In this group project, I learn a lot from our group leader Kangyan, she effectively divided us into individual groups, led and supervised our progress in this project. Although we meet some issues in my photography group, but YiLin from script group will also pleasuring in helping us to solve the issue that we faced. I like the teamwork in this whole group! On the other hand, in this project, I also became more aware of the gravity of gender injustice. I also realized that gender inequality also brought a lot of inconvenience to gender other than male and female in life, which made me want to reduce gender inequality for today society. I wish today's society would stop treating people of the third gender with colored eyes and treat others with more respect.
